The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Trick-Taking Game is a cooperative campaign card game for 1 to 4 players. Players work together to navigate the events of the novel across 18 unique chapters. Instead of competing to win the most tricks, players must carefully manage the tricks they take to meet specific goals assigned to their chosen characters

If all players meet their character objectives by the end of the round, the team successfully passes the chapter and advances the story. If even one character fails to meet their conditions, the fellowship is defeated and the group must replay the chapter
